This large-scale urban landmark stainless steel sculpture project is located in a new urban central park, aiming to create a modern, minimalist and highly recognizable public art installation that echoes the city’s youthful and inclusive cultural tone. The client put forward high requirements on the sculpture’s overall modeling fluency, surface fineness, outdoor weather resistance and overall coordination with the surrounding green landscape and architectural facilities.
According to the project site environment, design positioning and customer core demands, our team adopted high-quality 316 stainless steel as the core raw material, which is more resistant to corrosion, oxidation and extreme weather changes, fully adapting to long-term outdoor open-air placement. Combined with 3D scanning modeling and digital sizing technology, we optimized the overall arc structure and hollow layout of the sculpture, abandoning the rigid traditional modeling, and creating an abstract and dynamic artistic shape. In terms of surface treatment, we adopted multi-channel manual mirror polishing technology, making the sculpture surface smooth and flawless, which can reflect the changes of surrounding sky, green plants and light, presenting a rich and layered visual effect.
During the production process, our technical team strictly controlled every link including cutting, bending, seamless welding, fine polishing and structural reinforcement. We effectively solved common industry problems such as uneven arc transition, obvious welding traces and insufficient structural stability. Meanwhile, we optimized the internal support structure according to local wind load and geological conditions, ensuring the sculpture’s long-term safety and stability in outdoor environment.
