This typical project is a large-scale hollow theme sculpture customized for a city cultural and ecological park. The client’s core demand was to create a lightweight, modern and eco-friendly landscape artwork that echoes the park’s natural and cultural themes. Restricted by the open outdoor environment, the sculpture needed to feature wind resistance, structural stability and super weather resistance, while ensuring the hollow lines were neat, uniform and highly ornamental under different sunlight conditions.
According to the site environment and design requirements, we adopted high-quality 316L stainless steel plate as the raw material, which effectively resists outdoor rain erosion, ultraviolet aging and rusting, and is more suitable for long-term outdoor placement compared with ordinary 304 stainless steel. Combined with professional CAD precision layout and laser fine cutting technology, we completed the overall hollow line carving and plate forming, ensuring every hollow gap is uniform in size and smooth in line, without burrs or deformation.
In the production and splicing process, our technicians adopted segmented forming and integral calibration technology. For the multi-plate assembly structure of the large sculpture, we carried out precise positioning and seamless welding treatment. After multiple fine polishing and surface leveling processes, all welding traces are completely eliminated, realizing an integrated and smooth overall visual effect. Meanwhile, aiming at the large hollow structure’s wind resistance risk, we added hidden internal reinforcement keels and optimized the force-bearing distribution, avoiding shaking or deformation in strong wind weather.
In terms of surface treatment, the whole sculpture adopts high-gloss mirror polishing technology. The hollow lines refract natural light to form rich light and shadow changes, perfectly integrating with the park’s green plants, lake water and natural scenery. The minimalist and fashionable hollow shape breaks the heaviness of traditional large sculptures, making the whole landscape more vivid and layered.
After standardized on-site installation, level calibration and safety detection, the project was successfully accepted on schedule.
